Shortly after starting work for Frontier Travel I was lucky enough to head out to Canada on my first visit to this lovely country. I immediately realised why we specialised in holidays to Canada. It’s simply stunning! From its scenery and wildlife to the people you meet who are so friendly and relaxed.
Over twenty years later I have been lucky enough to visit a lot of the places and hotels we feature on this website and many more. Some of my highlights include experiencing a night at the Ice Hotel in Quebec and skiing in the US resorts of Vail and Breckenridge. I’ve also been dog-sledding and snowmobiling.
I’m looking forward to visiting some of BC’s interior resorts this coming winter and to get a few more ski days in.

Since joining Frontier 14 years ago, I have been to almost all of the ski resorts Canada has to offer and have found each of them brilliant in their own unique ways. People often ask which is my favourite resort in Canada but they really are all great depending on what you are looking for.
We only feature places that at least one of us as been to in person and I am always happy to talk through resorts with you to see which would suit you best.
One of my favourite ways to enjoy the resorts in Canada is to hire a car and have a ski safari taking in a number of resorts in one trip, easier than you think plus driving in Canada is far more fun (and easier) than in the UK. I have explored Canada a number of times over the years this way and always found something new to see.
I have tried both skiing and snowboarding and prefer skiing but have to say that where I really excel is at the après…. I can tell you the best resorts to ski but can also tell you about the top places to go once you come off the slopes! I’ve also tried snowmobiling, both in Whistler and Sun Peaks which is a fantastic experience.
I have also spent some time in Vail, Beaver Creek and Breckenridge and can highly recommend these amazing US resorts.
