We’re delighted to share some exciting news: Frontier Ski has been named World’s Best Ski Tour Operator to Canada 2025 in the prestigious World Ski Awards. It being the first year the awards have recognised operators in this category, the achievement feels particularly special. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who voted; your support truly means a great deal to us.

Frontier Ski, Canada Ski Specialist, Michael Williamson-Giles, comments: “For more than 30 years, Canada has been one of our favourite ski destinations, with all of our holidays shaped by first-hand knowledge, thoughtful planning and a genuine passion for helping you discover the country’s most remarkable resorts. From iconic destinations with world-class terrain to quieter mountains with a more relaxed feel, our team draws on decades of insight to craft tailor-made experiences, our personal recommendations often making the trip all the more special.”

One of the greatest joys of skiing in Canada is the range of destinations on offer. Whistler’s vast terrain and lively village are ideal for those who like endless variety on the mountain and plenty of après-ski. Offering a different vibe, Banff, with its dramatic Rockies backdrop and access to the SkiBig3 area, is perfect for anyone wanting classic Canadian scenery paired with a charming and welcoming mountain town.

Quintessential Canada, the charming winter wonderland of Silver Star is late-season treasure for skiers in search of a more intimate vibe

Further afield, resorts like Red Mountain, SilverStar and Panorama are all unique. Red Mountain wins out with skiers who want space, challenge and an authentic local atmosphere far removed from the crowds; Silver Star brings together approachable terrain for all levels, a colourful, family-friendly village, and a sense of community; while Panorama delivers long, cruisy runs, impressive vertical and a quieter, self-contained resort style that appeals to travellers who appreciate convenience. And let’s not forget those legendary hot pools, Canada’s largest.

Together, these destinations highlight just how diverse skiing in Canada can be. Whether you’re after big-resort buzz, laid back mountain living or something in between, there’s a perfect fit waiting to be explored.
