After your time in Red drive over to Fernie which is famed for its powder and rustic charm. Lastly stop off at Kimberley for a few nights set in the beautiful Purcell Mountains with great skiing in a compact but friendly resort with beautiful European architecture in the nearby town of the same name.
Due to the remote locations on this ski trip it really is best done with car hire and flying in and out of Spokane, Washington in America and driving over the border into Canada.

Spokane International Airport to Red Mountain Ski Resort
Fly into Spokane airport located in Washington, USA to collect your car hire. You are allowed to hire a car and drive it into Canada as long as you return the car back to the US which this itinerary does take into account. Once you have collected your vehicle drive to Red Mountain Resort (approx drive time 2 hours 30 mins)
Spend 5 nights in Red skiing the peaks of Red Mountain, Grey Mountain, Granite Mountain and Mount Kirkup. The village is compact but with 3,850 acres of terrain there is plenty to keep you entertained.
After breakfast it’s time to pack up and head over to Fernie. (approx drive time 4 hours). Take your time on the drive through the picturesque Kootenay’s and stop off at one of the towns along the way for lunch before arriving into Fernie. With Fernie you can either stay in the resort or the town with the same name which is a 10 minute drive from the resort but does have more in the way of dining and nightlife options.
Spend 5 nights in Fernie skiing this brilliant rugged ski resort which is famed for it’s powder and tricky terrain to test the more advanced skiers.
After your last ski day in Fernie you can head over to Kimberley (approx drive time 1 hours 20mins). As it is a reasonably short drive you could spend the day skiing in Fernie and then be in Kimberley in time for dinner.
Spend your last few days skiing the slopes of Kimberley and relaxing in this laid back resort. Plenty of varied terrain best suited for intermediates but a fantastic place to end your epic ski adventure in this beautiful more remote part of Canada.
Kimberley Ski Resort to Spokane International Airport
After breakfast it is time to head off back accross the border to Spokane (approx drive time 4 hours) to return the car and fly home
