Resort Info
Park City, Utah is one of North America’s most complete ski destinations, combining vast terrain, reliable snow and a genuinely lively mountain town — all just 45 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport.
With some of the largest and most varied skiing in North America, Park City is an excellent choice for UK skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. The sheer scale is impressive, with over 7,000 acres of terrain spread across two main base areas — Mountain Village and Canyons Village. Long fall-line runs, wide open pistes and a fast, modern lift system make it easy to cover huge distances in a single day.
Beginners and intermediates are particularly well catered for, thanks to wide, immaculately groomed runs that are ideal for building confidence and enjoying relaxed cruising.
Standout runs include Home Run, Utah’s longest at 3.5 miles, accessed via the town lift and finishing right in Park City itself. The route opens into a broad, flowing descent with stunning mountain views.
More advanced skiers will also find plenty to explore, from steeper faces and bowls to gladed tree skiing that really comes alive after fresh snowfall. Highlights include Assessment, a lesser-known favourite with a steady pitch, and Georgenna, a scenic blue run offering a mix of playful terrain and panoramic views.
Snow conditions are a major draw. Utah is famous for its light, dry powder, and Park City enjoys a long, dependable season that typically runs from late November through to April.
Deer Valley
Just minutes from Park City, Deer Valley is a great option for a day or two on the slopes. Known for its perfectly groomed runs, relaxed atmosphere and quieter pistes, it offers a slightly different feel to Park City.
Deer Valley is strictly skiers-only, with no snowboarding allowed, helping to keep the slopes smooth and uncrowded. The terrain is especially well suited to intermediates, with plenty of wide, confidence-boosting runs. Easy to reach from Park City, it’s an ideal way to add variety to your stay.
Off the Slopes
Park City is far more than just a ski resort — it’s a lively mountain town with real character and plenty to enjoy both on and off the snow. At its heart is historic Main Street, a beautifully preserved stretch of former mining buildings that now house an excellent mix of independent shops, art galleries, cafés and award-winning restaurants. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with a distinctly American mountain feel that makes evenings out just as enjoyable as days on the slopes.
Après-ski in Park City is sociable rather than rowdy, offering everything from laid-back wine bars and craft breweries to classic Western saloons and live music venues. Dining options are particularly strong, with a wide range of cuisines to suit all tastes and budgets, making it easy to find somewhere special whether you’re travelling as a couple, with friends or as a family.
For those looking to take a break from skiing, Park City offers a superb range of winter activities. Snowshoeing trails wind through peaceful forests, while snowmobiling provides a more adrenaline-fuelled way to explore the surrounding mountains. The resort’s Alpine Coaster is a standout attraction, offering fast-paced fun with panoramic views, and scenic sleigh rides provide a more traditional winter experience. There are also excellent spa and wellness facilities for anyone keen to slow the pace and unwind.
Families and non-skiers are especially well catered for, with easy access to shopping, cultural events and regular festivals throughout the winter season. Combined with its compact layout, friendly atmosphere and excellent transport links, Park City is a resort where it’s just as easy to enjoy time off the slopes as it is to make the most of the skiing — creating a well-rounded holiday that appeals to everyone in the group.

Mr Mills Travelled to WhistlerPerfect snow conditions in Whistler
Michael put together exactly what was requested and even managed to deal with a late addition to our travelling party. The trip was complicated because the group was only coming together at Vancouver airport having travelled from Toronto and the UK.
Everything was exactly as detailed and agreed on the itinerary.
All we had to do was make the most of the perfect snow conditions in Whistler.
