Skiable Terrain: 1,087 acres
Resort Features:
The historic walled citadel of Quebec City is a great winter destination and makes for a base for a ski holiday with a difference, with the slopes of three resorts easily accessible on a daily basis. The city has not only a rich history, but also a vibrant cultural scene, as well as extensive dining, nightlife and a variety of entertainments and activities on offer.
A Quebec ski holiday gives you a trio of ski hills. All three have their own individual traits, combining for a unique ski holiday experience. With amazing views of the ice floes of the St Lawrence Seaway from virtually every slope, Le Massif has some beautiful groomed pistes and the highest vertical in Eastern Canada at just over 2500 feet. Mont St Anne also offers great views, with a variety of terrain on 465 acres of mainly tree-lined slopes, along with some great glades and terrain park hits. Stoneham is just 20 minutes from the city and is known for is terrain parks and half pipe as well as having 42 trails, almost half of which are floodlit, giving it one of the largest night skiing networks in Canada.
Quebec City has a huge choice of superb hotels from 5-star properties overlooking the St Lawrence to lovely auberges in the heart of the old city. This unique walled city has a delightful, cosmopolitan feel, not least in its wonderful selection of restaurants and shops and we recommend staying in the city, and travelling to the resorts by car or shuttle bus.
Snowmobiling, dog-sledding and skating are all on the city’s doorstep, plus there is a tubing park and North America’s only true Ice Hotel, making this a distinctive winter destination. Many other winter activities are also available in the area, including sledding down Le Massif on their unique sled run, or ice-canyoning down the frozen Jean-Larose fall, or just relaxing at one of the spas.

“Quebec City is great for a winter holiday, not just for skiing. The ski hills of Le Massif – great views from the chairlift! – Mont St Anne and Stoneham are easily accessible and better yet you have the fabulous walled city of Quebec to explore. Don’t miss a visit to Village Vacances Valcartier, just 20 minutes from the city, for the best tubing around!”
